L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover

L'Oreal have launched a huge campaign feature lots of celebrities to promote their new Infallible Total Cover collection. I had heard about this new product range on lots of YouTube beauty channels as it comes highly recommend. I had a quick look in Boots at the make up and I found that this new collection was on a 3 for 2 offer with a free beauty foundation blender and I thought I would try it out.

From the collection I brought the Mattifying Base Primer, Total Cover foundation, Foundation Blender and the Total Conceal full coverage Palette. In total with the Boots promotion the sale came to £17.95 which I don't think is too expensive what you get in the collection.

Infallible Mattifying Base Primer

I'll start with the primer since it is the first thing you use in a makeup routine. Now, I don't usually go for a silicone based primer as I don't like the texture it leaves on my skin, an example of this is the Benefit POREfessional primer, I hate it. My all time favourite primer is the Too Faced Hangover creme based primer as it hydrates skins for a smoother and better nourishing base. However, I thought I would give this primer ago as it is quoted to be the best base for the Infallible foundation. I was pleasantly surprised with the primer, a little really does go a long way. It settled into a matte base so quickly and evenly without the need for extra application. For this I used a flat ended brush to distribute on my face.

Infallible Total Cover Foundation

I vowed that I would never move away from my Too Faced Born This Way foundation, that formula has the most incredible full coverage capabilities as well as being super easy to apply. I don't usually use a Beauty Blender to apply that foundation as I find it more difficult than using a foundation brush, but I don use a blender afterwards to remove any excess or unwanted shine. But this Infallible foundation is perfect for a blender at it is a thicker substance compared to the Born This Way foundation. The Too Faced foundation is more or a liquid compared to this Total Cover foundation which is more moose like. The Total Cover is also super easy to pick which shade best suits for your skin colour as there are so many shades in the range, my shade is 21 Golden Sand if anyone was wondering as I have fairly pale natural skin. The Infallible is build-able for a more full coverage look but it does an amazing job already without needing building being necessary.

Infallible Total Cover Concealer Palette

It is only recently that I started colour correcting my face more before foundation. Before I was just using a lighter liquid concealer to highlight certain areas of my face, but since Iv'e had this concealer palette I have colour corrected near every single time Iv'e done my makeup. The power of colour correcting is incredible, I use the the green shade to cover red areas of my face and I use the purple shade to highlight darker areas of my face, specifically under my eyes. The neutral colours are good for highlighting and concealing other areas of the face and blending any patches.

Foundation Blender

For months now I have been applying my foundation with a Beauty Blender instead of a brush as it leaves such a nice matte feel to my skin and I find it to be much quicker and easier. I was so happy to see the L'Oreal has released their own blender, as it has been specifically designed for the Infallible collection. Before I was using a blender for make up Revolution which was great for blender, especially concealer, however I found that after use it would dry very quickly and would come hard and crusty which I didn't like. But the L'Oreal blender is super soft and so easy to wash as well as staying damp for day. Out of all the blenders I have tried, this one is my favourite. It is better that it is free with the Boots offer.

Overall I love this collection, it is 100% a hit for full coverage drugstore range. It is so thought out and there are some great promo videos on YouTube that demonstrate how you can use these products to build coverage whilst keeping a natural look, some of which feature Louisa Johnson and many other celebrities.
