This year for my summer holiday me and my boyfriend traveled to the Spanish island of Tenerife. We stayed on the south side of the island in Playa Des America's for a week in the Ole Tropical Resort. We had the best time and got to explore so much that the island has to offer, like we got to swim through a shark aquarium, Jet ski in the Canarias Sea and
sun bathe on the black sand beach.

When we arrived to check in at the resort we had champagne and chocolates already waiting for us. The complex was so beautiful and had so many places to relax, including sun bathing beds with curtains and open lounge balconies.

As our room was on the top floor the view was so amazing and on clear days you could see further than the beach and almost see the coast of Africa. Everyday the temperature was around 32 degrees and within days I had burn my legs and back from over exposure to the sun and when I arrived home I t was confirmed that I had sixth degree burns. But that's another story. In the first couple of days of our holiday we spent relaxing and sun bathing, and drinking way to many cocktails. The island is so beautiful and the sky is clear blue everyday, it didn't rain once.

We did venture out to the Siam Mall up in the valley side. The mall is such a good shopping center as it has so many great shops that we don't have back home, like; Breska and Pull & Bear. There are so many restaurants and cafes down by the beach front, we chose to have breakfast one morning by the beach, which was so relaxing as it was warm but there was a gentle breeze from the sea.

Next door the the mall is Siam Park, the largest watermark in Europe. We spent a whole day at Siam Park and it was so much fun. We went on the Tower of Power which is a 28m high slide that can reach a speed of up to 80km.

Once the slide reaches the ground you speed through a shark tank and land in a pool of water, which was so much fun. Siam park also has a huge wave simulator pool, where I was forced to learn how to jump into waves...thanks Aidan!

During the middle of or holiday we went to the central zoo in Tenerife, Loro Parque. It was an amazing experience as it's not only an animal park but also a wildlife reserve that caters the animal welfare and conservation projects. The zoo is also Thai themed just like Siam Park and the landscape was so beautiful. We had a very informative day and got close to some amazing rare animals.

The day after we ventured down to the harbor with some friends that we met in the hotel and decided to have a go on some jet ski's. This was some much fun, I had never been on a jet ski in my life so at first I was really scared because they go so fast. But once I has gotten use to the speed and the sea spraying on my face I really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend doing it if you get the opportunity. On our last day, we spent it lounging around the pool and catching the last of the sun. It felt so relaxing to be able to spend a whole day just chilling and not doing anything else. In the evening we took a taxi to the town center where all of the main shops and restaurants are.

We decided to have our last meal at the Hard Rock Cafe which was super busy but we sat on the rooftop and had a few cocktails whilst we waited for a table. The food was so nice, I honestly think it was the best meal I had during the holiday. If you ever find yourself in a Hard Rock Cafe, try the burgers. Not only if the food amazing, the atmosphere is so electric, it feels like having a meal in a club. After this we went back to our hotel and packed up out suitcases ready to go home. I had such an amazing holiday and I can't wait for many more adventures.
